Built to code, ready for your certifier
Every design is prepared to the National Construction Code and the relevant Australian Standards (including AS 1170 for structural design actions and AS 2870 for residential slabs and footings), and documented so a Queensland private certifier can approve it without back-and-forth. If a certifier raises a query on our documentation, we respond to it — that’s included, not an extra.
Structural Engineering Design FAQs
Do I need an engineer to remove a load-bearing wall?
Yes. Any change to a load-bearing wall needs an engineer’s design showing how the load is redistributed (typically via a new beam and posts), and a private certifier will require that documentation before approving the work.
Can you design for a sloping or difficult block?
Yes — sloping and split-level sites are common across the Gold Coast hinterland, and we design footings, retaining and framing to suit the actual site conditions rather than a generic template.
How long does a structural design take?
Most residential jobs are turned around in about one to two weeks from the point we have your plans and site details. Tell us about any certifier deadline when you enquire.
